Loved the spacious two-bedroom house and its beautiful countryside views. The pub nearby served fantastic food, making meals super convenient. Just a few maintenance issues like weak Wi-Fi and some dim lighting in the lounge. a lovely getaway!

What stands out – both good and bad
The cozy cottage was well-equipped with ample towels and utensils, making our stay very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic meals served at the nearby pub, which truly added to our experience.
Unfortunately, we encountered numerous maintenance issues, including dripping taps and inconsistent heating, that detracted from our comfort. Weak Wi-Fi connectivity hindered our ability to stay in touch with family.

Family stay worth it
The cottage was spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed! The friendly atmosphere in the pub next door. We loved chatting with the owners. They were just great people!
It wasn’t cheap, but I’d say it was acceptable for what we got.

The location next to a friendly pub is fantastic! ! It made it easy to enjoy hearty meals without traveling far. The decor in the two-bedroom house struck the right balance of modern and cozy. The spacious layout accommodated our family well, giving us room to relax and enjoy the spectacular garden view.
The microwave was not functioning during our stay.

Had a great time with friends! The place was spacious, and having a bathroom for each bedroom made it super convenient. We loved the rural charm and nearby attractions like The Rolls of Monmouth and Forest Hills Golf Club. It was a perfect retreat, and even though the WiFi didn’t reach every corner, we enjoyed some DVDs for entertainment.
The microwave wasn't working during our stay, which was a bit inconvenient for meal prep.

We really enjoyed the lovely walks around the countryside and the views were stunning on a clear day. The layout of the two-bedroom house suited our family perfectly, especially with a small kid running around. Plus, the pub next door served excellent meals, which was a nice bonus.
My kids wished for stronger WiFi to stream their shows.

The two-bedroom house offered a great layout, perfect for family with children, providing ample space to relax. The nearby pub served delicious pizza, enhancing our stay with convenient dining options. the microwave was out of order, seating was inadequate, and the shower control was dangerously hot. Wi-Fi connection was poor, limiting our use of the fire stick, and some maintenance issues detracted from the experience.

had a great time at carpenters cottages! the location is perfect, close to petrol station, pub, and shops. the locals are super nice and helpfull. the cottage was fully stocked, didn't have to bring much with me. only about 15 mins to monmouth, which is cool for shopping and eating out!
the fridge was a bit moody, would freeze stuff randomly and the garden area could use a lil more attention.
